Kobe passes the ball?!!!!

The Lakers edged the Kings 106 to 85 yesterday, and Kobe had a career high 10 assists and a human 34 points (oh no, it might bring his scoring average down!). Kobe passed the ball? Really? I saw a pig fly by and the devil had icicles hanging from his horns. Amazing what happens when you have 3 other players on the team in double digits (Odom with 19, George with 15 and Cook with 12)! But wait, according to Kobe these guys can't score! Of course, the ever bandwaggon riding TNT team heralded Kobe - "he distributes the ball so well" - like it's his daily routine. Don't rejoice yet Lamar and Devean, you won't be seeing that much of the ball for the rest of the season.

Below is a good article by Scoop Jackson from ESPN who pins it down: Kobe's success is a result of his anger against the world. My take: it's exactly that anger and that vile attitude that will never put him in the ranks of Michael Jordan, however many points he scores and however many championships he wins. And, by the looks of the Lakers so far this year (hanging on for dear life, only 1.5 games ahead of the Jazz for the 8th spot), Kobe's run for championships is over.
