Kobe Bryant. The Omarosa of Basketball

After Kobe retires, he should consider a career in politics. He should run for office because he's so great at lieing with a smile and an innocent look on his face. I was just watching an interview ABC did with him and he said it was so beautiful to play unselfishly and to hear the fans at Staple Center shouting Kwame Brown's name, something that wouldn't have been possible at the beginning of the year.

AMAZING.

Is this not the same Kobe that was claiming he HAD TO take 30+ shots per game because of the rest of his team was horrible?

Is this not the same Kobe that used to yell at Lamar Odom because Lamar didn't pass him the ball 100% of the time?

Is this not the same Kobe that would NEVER pass the ball to Kwame because he didn't think Kwame was capable of doing anything?

What happened in the last weeks of the regular season and during the playoffs? Did his teammates (all of them) all of a sudden learn how to play basketball? Or were they capable all along, but played horribly because they never had the ball in their hands?

Hmmm, that's a hard one...

I almost get a feeling that Kobe has a PR person or script writer that feeds him lines before every interview. He's like the Omarosa of basketball, except that Omarosa plays a villain on reality TV, while Kobe is one.

Nash the MVP? Nash can have the single award as long as Kobe gets the team award-championship. This will be the second MVP to Nash who can even play in the Finals-don't you think the Suns fans would trade the individual award for a finals. All I know is that the biggest liar is Shaq. Now Shaq is booting Dywane Wade by taking sides with Gary Payton. We have seen that before. Kobe is the best finisher in the NBA, just ask Bell, Diaw, Nash and of course Shaq Smaq. Keep on Kobe-hating because as we say in L.A.- We love it!

Do you mean the Shaq that went to finals last year after beating the Pistons in the eastern conference finals and beat the Spurs in sweep? Do you mean the Shaq that is playing lights out against the Bulls this year in the first round? Is that the Shaq the you bow to and kiss his big foot? Keep rooting for the Heat since they are the defending champions with the defending MVP. Keep dreaming while I will be in reality and see Shaq for what he is-the big ingrate.

No one is bowing down to Shaq here. Unlike you, we can recognize a player's weaknesses rather than hailing him to be King everytime he wins something. Shaq has his problems, he has slowed down this year, and no, he is not playing 100% right now. Can Shaq win championships alone? No. He needs a good guard, like Dobe or Wade to do it.

However, no one can deny that those 3 championships could not have been won without Shaq. Shaq drew the double team which left Kobe open to make better shots. Shaq DOMINATED inside. Once he left, where did Kobe end up last year? Watching the playoffs at home. Look at the Heat - without Shaq they were nothing and last year they went to the Eastern Conference Finals. Where were the Lakers last year - that's right, they didn't make the playoffs. Even this year when he was hurt for half the season - their winning percentage soared once he came back.

And by the way, it's Kobe's amazing shots that beat the Suns in the series (although I'm not denying they were clutch in the win), it's the Lakers defense throughout this series that has taken the life out of the Suns. The Suns have beat themselves as a result of that defense for the past 3 games - they've been slowed down and have shot terribly. And look at Sean Marion getting in foul trouble last night. Oh, and don't forget - it was SMUSH PARKER's three pointer and steal that enabled the Lakers to stay in the game last night.

Excuse me? the first anonymous, please tell your sarcastic, greatest player of all-time? First off kobe shoots a shit percentage, and when jordan averaged 35 he had a 53 % fg percentage compared to kobes 45. Who carried kobe during the playoffs and the finals? Shaq. Kobe puts up shit numbers during the playoffs while jordan carried his team and broke records. How many mvps does kobe have? None. Jordan has five, should of had more but the sports writers wanted someone else to have it. Need i remind kobe fans what he did against the pistons two years ago? he put up shit numbers in the finals!!!! Jordan was always amazing in the finals, need i remind the air head kobe fans of jordans game winning shot to win his sixth, he was without pippen practically the whole game. Double nickel in a finals game, 35 in a half of a playoff game!!!!! How soon everyone forgets, kobe is no where near, he hasn't even scratch the surface of jordan's greatness, just laker fans and kobe lovers trying to make him a legend when he isn't. So he had 81, so what?! You can't play defense anymore and no one plays defense anymore. jordan would of done alot more than 81 and probably pulled down 20 boards. So kobe has three rings, but shaq carried him, kobe faded away during the playoffs, had like two good games, jordan was the team during the playoffs!!!! End the kobe jordan comparision. Jordan nearly matched kobes career number of clutch shots when he played two years with the wizards. also kobe is statistically the lowest of the superstars in taking clutch shots. try to argue that!!!!

Is it me or do laker fans or LA fans in general don't know anything about sports? They make outrageuos comments like kobe is better than jordan. But how? Jordan was better statically, more championships, no center, pippen was overrated in being jordans right hand man, and jordan played in an era where you could actually hand check and play physically on defense. also the league right now is lacking in talent. Kobe goes up against teams that are horrible on D and he some how shoots a bad percentage.

By the way, the last two posts were by me. Kobe hater, b/c i can't stand those who are credited for being good and are not even close to be good. I also hate his smugness and he barely acknowledges jordan. Kobe stole his moves from jordan, which he half asses all the time. he also doesn't have jordans athleticism. have you seen kobe drive by people without crossing over. Have you seen him dunk on seven footers without sneeking around them and actually giving them a facial(cough, yao ming). I've seen jordan run at centers and they see him charging and the centers get ready and try to block him but jordan overpowers them and gives them a facial. Alonzo, ewing, mutumbo, manute bol, and even shaq and countless other centers. Ever seen the play where jordan gave a pump fake and then drove immediately that his defender fell down and then he gave a facial to the center on the hawks and then oakley taunts the center for getting dunked on. Celebrate true greatness, not just some chump who isn't even have half of jordans game. the player to look out for is lebron. his body type is alot like jordan from 97.

Kobe Bryant is not better than MJ. I am a diehard Lakers fan. When everyone says Kobe couldn't win it without Shaq, it also goes the other way. Shaq would not have owon it without Kobe. I respect Shaq as a basketball player. I wish nobody would hate on NBA players that had to work hard to get there. And whoever wrote the article, I'm sure you lie too, but nobody is writing an article or blog on you. Oh yeah it's because your not making 15 million a year and hooping on National Television.

You can not like Kobe because of his smugness and arrogance but you can't say that he's not the #1 best basketball player on the planet. I watch every Lakers game just to see if he'll go off for another 81 points. By the way... if you think Kobe is arrogant then you haven't watched many MJ interviews. Obvious this blog isn't run by anyone who knows anything about basketball.
